Only in its second year, the FREE family-friendly Christmas lights event, The Festive Garden is once again promising to be the spectacular highlight for 2022's festive season calendar on the Sunshine Coast.

Imagine crossing the threshold into a magical wonderland where you are greeted by Santa's elves and serenaded by the angelic voices of Christmas carollers - heralding a warm and hearty welcome to The Festive Garden.



This fabulous walk-through Christmas lights experience will light up the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens over several nights leading up to Christmas, creating a festive wonderland, aglow with a forest of twinkling lights.



Visitors to The Festive Garden will experience the spirit of Christmas, complete with centrally concentrated, elaborate light installations, interactive roaming entertainment, three stage areas, face painting, Santa, Santa's elves, food trucks and fabulous Christmas entertainment - and the best news of all - everything is absolutely FREE! Please allow at least one and a half hours on location for your truly magical adventure.


🎅 PARK AND RIDE ONLY
Please note that there will be no direct access or parking at The Festive Garden event, but thanks to a FREE park and ride Sunbus shuttle service, visitors can enjoy a laid-back drive to and from the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens. Buses will run continuously each evening of the event between 5.00pm and 9.00pm, leaving from the University of the Sunshine Coast Transit Centre to the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens, with the last shuttle returning at 9.00pm. Travel time is approximately twelve minutes each way on the shuttle bus.


🎅 PARK AND RIDE ONLY
Visitors are specifically encouraged to park at the University of the Sunshine Coast, 90 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs and wait for a FREE shuttle bus to transport them to The Festive Garden experience.


Accessibility
The Sunbus Express is accessibility compliant and able to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers and mobility devices.
Security will be in place at the Park and Ride bus stops.



Alternative entry arrangements will be in place for visitors who are physically unable to use the free Park and Ride shuttle. More information will be available on these arrangements when bookings open.

Bookings are absolutely essential for The Festive Garden, with a maximum limit of seven (7) spots per booking. Ticket bookings will be open on Wednesday 23 November; please follow the events.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au link here to secure your spots on the Sunbus shuttle.
