Are you looking for a creative way to spend your Saturday afternoon? Then why not head on out to Samford Valley Steiner School's
gathering? It promises to be a great day out for all the family, with plenty of music and fun scheduled throughout the day.
What is ?
is a colorful celebration of art, craft and entertainment, with markets, workshops, activities, games, and rides suitable for all
ages. Small children will love fossicking for gems in the sandpit or joining a puppet show performance, while older children might like to ride a camel or try bungee trampolining. There will be a community fair running from 11am - 4pm, with local handicrafts, plants, artworks and second hand items for sale. If you get hungry, there will be plenty of nutritious home baked food for sale, as well as a Chai Cafe, organic coffee, and wood fired pizzas.
Fun workshops on offer:
Would you like to learn authentic Middle Eastern belly dancing, try Kundalini yoga or learn wet on wet painting as it is taught in all Rudolph Steiner Schools across the world? Other
activities include Flora's famous face painting, wood working, henna tattoos with Chaitali, flower garland making, Flipside Circus and barnyard babies.
A free finale performance will be held from 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Murphy's Pigs, 2013 Artist of the Year, Australian Celtic Music Awards will provide the perfect excuse to dance, sing and enjoy the school's natural bushland setting.
So, if you're tired of the usual over stimulating school fetes, Samford Valley Steiner School's
is the one for you - just don't forget to bring your own water bottle as this will be a plastic free event.
