Erase those post-holiday blues with a family fun day out
Continue that holiday feeling with a family fun day out at Festival on the Green! This free family event runs from 10 am - 4 pm and includes a Paw Patrol show (and a meet & greet) and performances from local schools and community group.
For those who want to get active, there will be circus workshops, laser tag, rock climbing and amusement rides. Ku-ring-gai Wildlife Rangers will be around to educate youngsters on native wildlife and there will also be an animal farm. With face-painting, food and market stalls and a 9D cinema there is something for everyone to enjoy.
There will also be a sensory tent with trained staff to provide solace to anyone who may feel overwhelmed by the crowds, noise and smells. The tent will have tee-pees that contain noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, fidget toys, books, toys and seating. There will also be visual aides, hearing augmentation and communication cards. The event organisers are really ensuring that this event is as inclusive as possible.
