The inaugural Festival of Slow Music will take place in Ballarat on the weekend of Friday 31 August to Sunday 1 September.

The weekend will feature a variety of ticketed and free events.

Over the weekend you get the opportunity to experience music of all genres in intimate spaces and to learn more about the musicians behind the sounds.

The Festival of Slow Music will present some of Australia's great talent, including Harry James Angus (The Cat Empire), David Jones, Tony Gould & Imogen Manins, Adam Simmons, Valanga & Andrea Khoza, Clocked Out, Rose Turtle Ertler, along with some of Ballarat's finest such as Sweet Mona's Choir, Freya Hollick, Mick Trembath and many others.

Artistic Director; Adam Simmons said "It is not about a label or genre but rather the experience across the festival weekend that will develop and define the concept of "slow music".

Weekend Festival Ticket Price

Adult: $80
Concession: $60 (includes children 12 and over)
Last minute: $25 tickets available at the door for individual ticketed festival events pending availability.
