Date & Location is 29th of March at Suttons Beach Redcliffe.
Just another fabulous time at the bayside during Easter is when Redcliffe hosts their 'Festival of Sails Event. Competing at the same time with its festival friend, the Bluewater Festival over the otherside of the Hornibrook bridge at Sandgate. With Redcliffe however being a bigger bayside, it has the capacity to host a little bit of the 'same' plus, a bit more.
Good news is that you do have the option to visit both since they are in close proximity, with each having their own special festivities.
Fantastic fun for the kids, with some of the highlights for this Easter event including watching the Easter Bunny travel through the sky with his parachute before making a landing on the beach. 11am is the approximate planned time for the Easter Bunny landing, weather dependent.

Camel rides along the beach are also popular for the kids. The activities list this year is also set to include some of the following;
African Drumming, Kite making with Redcliffe Kite Club, Sand Sculpting,The Great LEGO Building Challenge, Beach Games, Bio Beach Volleyball, Pony rides, Face Painting Amusement rides, Bungee Trampoline and the Rock Wall.

The day certainly promises to be a fun time for family and kids with entertainment, music, roving performers, numerous art and craft stalls and 'food feasting' spots set up, some with outdoor seating arrangements.
Another highlight at this beach festival is the Giant Sand Sculptor, who builds more than just an ordinary castle from the sand. Don't forget to bring along buckets and spades for your kids so they can play in the sand and build their 'own' castle.
