The Imperial Russian Ballet presents ' Festival of Russian Ballet ' playing at Her Majesty's Theatre from Thursday 26th October until Saturday 28th October at 7:30pm. If you only see one ballet in your lifetime, this is the one to see. It's a cocktail of imagination, strength and dedication. It's a traditional contemporary ballet that presents classic tales to perfection.

During this 3-hour spectacular guests experienced three very different ballets. Act One – 'Don Quixote' was performed in 60 minutes. It is the story of the adventures of Alonso Quijano, a Spanish nobleman who sees himself as a brave knight searching for his long lost love.

Ballet is beautiful because the story is told with emotion. This piece features strong, emotional connections and strength that pushes through every move. The first piece is a strong dance called 'Dance of the Horses' inspired by Melbourne Cup - the race that stops the nation. The soloists in this piece were beautiful and included Tatiana Serganova, Denys Simon, Alena Gubanova and Viorel Miron. The second was 'Russian Dance' from Swan Lake starring Anna Pashkova. It was composed by Pytor Iiyich Tchaikovsky and is one of the world's most popular ballets.

'Le Corsaire' follows the tale of a pirate called Conrad who falls in love with a young Greek girl called Medora. This is one of the most famous moments in ballet's repertoire. Performed by the spectacular soloists Irena Gharibyan, Sergey Kheylik, Lina Seveliova, Nariman Bekzhanov. Next was 'Russian Waltz' performed by Iuliia Ushakova and Viorel Miron. This was a strong piece featuring music by Dmitri Shostakovich with choreography by Gediminas Taranda.

Giselle is a peasant girl who falls in love with a nobleman and when she finds he is betrothed to other she dies of a broken heart.

The finale held strong movement and technique. 'Can Can Surprise' starred Dame Vladimir Dorofeev who came out in a dress and red ballet shoes and did the Can Can. This featured incredible technique, especially the turns.
