Have you ever gone into a business or home and seen a remarkable piece of glass art?
Located at Drysdale's Bellarine Basketball Stadium, the Festival will be on from 10am to 5pm, with free entry and the chance to immerse yourself in a different type of art form. There will be plenty of stalls, where you can meet glass artisans and view their work, as well as demonstrations of different glassworking techniques (including leadlighting, glass etching, and other creative glass-related skills).
Visitors have the opportunity to enter several competitions (including a major raffle with prizes donated by the exhibitors), or enrol in short courses in glass arts and crafts.
For those who simply want to take in their surrounds, there will be exhibitions of jewellery and art, as well as displays of glass collections (both historical and contemporary).
This may be only the second annual Festival Of Glass, but with over 50 exhibitors already involved, as well as food and entertainment available throughout the day, this event is likely to attract a popular following.
