Spring is in the air and Eden Gardens are celebrating with a festival of all things flowers, from gardening talks to workshops, gin tasting and delicious floral dessert bars. The display gardens will be in bloom, markets will be buzzing with artisans, selfie opportunities abound and so much more.
The talks from experts will advise on growing roses and lavender, planting native flowers and creating a scented garden, whether it be flowers or herbal teas. The nursery and gift shop onsite have a range of plants and products to purchase to ensure your garden thrives.
Embracing Sydney Craft Week, workshops are aplenty with sessions for both children and adults. Here's some of what you can enjoy -
Floral Dyeing - where you turn botanicals into wearables and learn the alchemy of natural dyeing using foraged flowers
Skincare from your Garden - where a vast range of natural cosmetic ingredients will be discussed and you'll learn how to dry and use your homegrown harvests to make floral-focused skincare products
Flower Crown/Floral Cards for Kids - with children able to make and take home either a beautiful crown made with flowers from the garden or alternatively press the flowers and make some equally beautiful cards
Creating Dyes & Inks from the Garden - using simple ingredients from the pantry and garden and turning them into liquid form to make your own artwork
Wreath Making/Flower Arrangement - for a fun social time as you learn new skills
Cyanotype Printing - discovering the historic alternative photographic process with floral artist Lisa Shepherd
Create your own Floral Scent with Essential Oils - with a scent-story journey with sage cosmetics where you will formulate your own aroma blend
Gin Tasting with Buffalo Vale Gin Distillery - as you get a backgrounder with the distiller on their botanical gins and avail yourself of a flight of 3 cocktails
Crochet and/or Sew - with textile artist Alison Thompson showing you how to craft your own fibre flowers, resulting in a small posy to take home
The above and more run at various times throughout the day with prices ranging from $21-$98. For further info and tickets on these, click

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) by adding some flowers to the mane and snapping your distinctive photo, whilst a sneak peek of the installations going into the next
