A collection of creative, colourful & entertaining events

The Concourse is set to become the ultimate kids zone these school holidays at Festival Oasis!

Parents can kick back and relax these school holidays while the children are entertained for a free in Chatswood. From 28 September to 13 October, Willoughby City Council presents a tween paradise with drop-in workshops, acting classes, LEGO® fun and more!

NIDA School Holiday Classes – 30 September to 11 October (PAID EVENT)

NIDA offers introductory to advanced courses for children and young people during the school holidays in a variety of disciplines including creative play, drama, acting on screen, musical theatre, singing, acting, public speaking and more.

 

Possum 'scoop a poop' Citizen Science Workshop – 30 September (FREE)

Calling scientists - young and old!

Join in a national study on the ecology of brushtail possums and receive a free collection kit to help with this important research.

 

Fun Day – Thursday 3 October (FREE)

A series of drop in workshops including slime making, circus skills, Bollywood moves, taekwondo, Jiu Jitsu and breakdancing.

  • 10am - 4pm - Slime Making

  • 11am - 4pm - Glitter Station

  • 10am - 4pm - Get an early start on your Festive Flags entry (Entry forms and materials available to get creative on the day)

  • 10am - 11am - Circus Skills with Circus Akimbo

  • 11:15am - 12:15am - Breakdancing with Dance Central

  • 12:30pm - 1:30pm - Taekwondo with Chungdo Taekwondo

  • 1:45pm - 2:45pm - Bollywood Moves with Dance Central

  • 3pm - 4pm - Martial Arts and obstacle course with VT1
     

    Holiday LEGO Fun Machines – 3 October (FREE)

    Build incredible machines - presented by visiting award-winning author of The incredible Freedom Machines.

    Suitable for children ages five to 11.

     

    Silent Disco – Friday 4 October (FREE)

    Back by popular demand, come along and dance the night away while you listen to tunes of your choice on your glowing headphones or play a round of neon mini golf.

     

    Dad's Read: 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' – 10 October (FREE)

    Join us for this special evening 'Dad's Read' storytime as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Eric Carle's much-loved children's classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar.Bring your dads and grandads.
