One of Canberra's most exciting cultural events, Festival Indonesia, returns on Saturday 16th November 2019. Entry is FREE and all are welcome to come along and immerse themselves and in rich and diverse culture and cuisine of Indonesia.Presented by The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Canberra, Festival Indonesia offers a jam-packed program of vibrant events and interactive activities for all ages. Highlights include live cultural performances from Aceh, Central Sulawesi, Papua and North Sumatra, as well as art and cultural exhibitions, art workshops and demonstrations, a dedicated kids corner and photo booth.There will also be an opportunity to purchase textiles and handicrafts such as Batik, the traditional fabric of Indonesia, and Indonesian Traditional Weaving.Bustling food stalls will be serving up a range of tantalising Indonesian favourites too! Take your pick of Chicken Satay, Rendang, Nasi Goreng and many more!Last year's event attracted over 5000 festivalgoers, so come along with friends and family and join in the fun!
