The town of Collie's major art festival has a new name. What was once the Griffin Festival of the Arts is now called FESTIV ARTY.
Collie has a lot planned for FESTIV ARTY this year. It will be a celebration of art, community and culture. It will be on from 8th to the 17th of September. There will be so much to see and do.
There will be a street fair, an art competition, workshops, a street art installation, a performing arts completion and a writers' festival. The street fair is expected to attract thousands of visitors to Collie. It will include face painting, a climbing wall, a caricaturist, children's entertainers, bouncy castles, a busker's corner and a street market in Collie Central Park.
Earthbound Art will be there to promote WA Rocks. WA Rocks encourages kids to paint rocks and then hide them in public spaces for other people to find. Earthbound Art will assist kids in making their own rock art to leave somewhere.
Want to learn something new? Why not enrol yourself in a workshop? Some of the classes that will be on offer will be Acrylics for Beginners, Children's Cupcake Decorating, Make Your Own Dream Catcher and a Recycled T-Shirt Necklace Workshop. The classes will be free but bookings are essential. Please check out their website for more information.
FESTIV ARTY will be hosting a huge art show in 2017 over a period of several days. There will be a range of categories and a large number of prizes on offer to be won.

Are you a singer, a dancer, or have some other type of talent? FESTIV ARTY will be holding a performing arts competition this year and wants to see local singers, dancers, musicians and other talented people perform.
The most talented will be selected to perform at the FESTIV ARTY Grand Finale.
