Event:
A taste of Italy

Is there anything more comforting than Italian food? I think not.

I attribute my love for all things Italian and possibly my eyebrows to my great grandfather on my dad's side. Here is a little bit of trivia for you - there are A LOT of Italians in Argentina! Thus my very Italian surname and my ability to cook one hell of a gnocchi.

On Monday night I had the pleasure of experiencing a taste of Festitalia. The gorgeous Treasury courtyard was transformed into a little slice of Tuscany. The scene was set, the dancers entertained and the food was just bellissim.

This year FESTITALIA - The Italian Festival lands on October 8th at Newmarket.

With over 30 Italian flavour-makers cooking up a storm, Spencer Park will be transformed into a foodies dream. You can look forward to Italian-inspired stalls and pop-ups. Cannoli and Gelato Eating Competitions and Wine tasting.

Festitalia is a celebration of the Italian culture and its contribution to our community. It's Queensland's only Italian Festival and your cheapest day trip to Italy!

If you find yourself saying ma che dite?' as you gather your fingertips on one hand and wave it up and down...well you will fit right in. If others are saying it to you, there is a very special TALK ITALIAN TENT that will teach you how to say important things like Pasta (Pasta) and Wine (Vino).

Mark your calendar and prepare to be entertained by traditional Flagthrowers, Tarantella dancers, Swordsmen, and a list of Italian entertainers.
