It's freezing cold outside and it's also a time for a festival. But instead of sitting in the cold, wrapped up, and alone, why not go to a festival full of fun, warmth and happiness! The Festa Junina (June Festival) is a time for good food and family. While you eat and have fun around the bonfire, there will be festivities and activities for the whole family to participate in.



There will be no time to feel the cold or be blue when you are standing around the bonfire, laughing and eating. The bonfire is meant to warm the body and the soul. You will see the best of Brazilian Culture. Thanks to a not-for-profit, you will be able to bring your whole family and learn some regional dance from Brazil. Try Brazilian foods, and there are lots of games and things to do for the children.

From 4pm, there will be family-friendly events on. There will be Magic Fun, traditional dance and music by Renata Garcia, and other musical guests.

After 7pm, the party is more for adults. Sertanejo will open the evening with countryside music, and then the best of Forro and other dance music will be making the night come alive. You will be able to dance the night away. Thanks to music from the North East part of Brazil, you will have to stamp your feet, raise the dust and bring good feelings to everyone at the party.

The June Festival will be held in Northbridge, at the Perth Mess Hall. If you want to have a great time, you can head to the Perth Mess Hall on Saturday, June 24th. The first part of the evening begins at 4pm and ends at 7pm. The second part begins at 7pm and goes until 11pm. The children have to leave after 7pm, but the adult's tickets allow you to re-enter the venue if you take the children back home, with no extra charge. Children's tickets are $15.21 and adults are $24.49. Family passes are cheaper, but get in fast otherwise, you will end up having to pay more at a later date.
