Fresh Produce From Queensland's Country Garden Markets
I'm sure there will be lots of activities happening around the State on Saturday 26th January 2019 for Australia Day. One such activity is the Ferrari Park Markets at Laidley, which is held on the fourth Saturday of each month.
Laidley is a town located in the Lockyer Valley region consisting of a population of approximately three and a half thousand residents. The township is 83 kilometres west of the Brisbane CBD. At the end of the 19th century, Laidley local industry was mostly agriculture and is now regarded as Queensland's Country Garden as vegetables and fruit are prominently grown in the area. In fact, the majority of beetroot grown in Australia comes from the Laidley district.
The markets commence at 6.00am and conclude at 12.00 noon. You will be able to take home good fresh local produce and home-made treats. You will also find collectable, arts and crafts and lots of other interesting products.
Starting for 2019, the first markets will be held on Saturday 26th January; following on from there, they are as follows:
23 February 2019
23 March 2019
27 April 2019
25 May 2019
22 June 2019
This is a family-friendly event with accessible facilities available. Please contact the organisers for more details on 07 5466 3425. The markets are located in Patrick Street, Laidley.
