Celebrating its 19th year, the Ferragosto Festival is back on again held in Five Dock, and it is promising to be one multicultural event that will certainly bring to you all things Italian!

Great North Road will transform into an Italian fiesta with an array of entertainment, activities, cultural performances, food galore, competitions, demonstrations, photo prop boards, amusement rides, incredible displays and much more.

Be prepared to be immersed in the Italian culture with the world of food, and there will certainly be no shortage of this with over 160 food, wine and merchandise stalls as you explore the wonders of Italian food with the smorgasbord of delicacies such as authentic flat breads, traditional wood-fired pizzas, homemade gnocchi and sausages. There will also be other flavours of the world with Spanish paella, European delights, Greek souvlaki and Turkish Gozleme.



The FerraCucina will be an all day kitchen stage filled with local and celebrity chefs such as Tobie Puttock as they serve up this year's dessert theme with best Italian-inspired desserts in two live cooking sessions. There will also be cooking demonstrations and if you are up for the challenge, why not compete in the pizza competition.

Fashion lovers will love the stalls, where you can browse through clothing designs, jewellery, and art & craft.

The Italian fun does not end there - the Carnival is the perfect spot for the kids to enjoy carnival rides for all ages, enjoy playing games and having fun with activities.

The Rock Climbing Wall is a fun activity to enjoy, which is suited for ages and fitness levels as the wall will have various levels of difficulty.

Enjoy the cultural entertainment at the FerraVarieta stage which will showcase traditional Italian performances, choirs, dancers, solo performances and traditional acts.

No Italian festival will be complete without showing off the Italian vehicles! There will be a dazzling display of Italian vehicles which will include Mini Fiats, Ducati Bikes and Alfa Romeos, making it perfect for vehicle enthusiasts.

Other displays will include The Welcome Wall from the Australian National Maritime Museum, where there will be a showcase of a list of names from Italian ancestry on the wall. This display is a celebration of migrants from Italy and across the globe.

With so many things to do, see, experience there will certainly be no shortage of cultural fun and you will no doubt feel Italian after the Festival.
