Free Fun Family Park Activities in Ferny Hills
Ferny Hills is situated in the Moreton Bay Region north-west of Brisbane. Informally known as part of the Hills District, (which includes Arana Hills & Everton Hills), the suburb sits along Samford Road at the edge of the Brisbane Forest Park. The suburb is almost entirely residential with both primary and high schools along with all other prosperous community living amenities.
On Sunday 28th October 2018, you are invited to pack your picnic basket and blanket, collect Nan and Pop and join in a morning of live music and family fun at the George Willmore Park to celebrate National Grandparents Day. Hosted by the Moreton Bay Regional Council, Ferny Hills Picnic In the Park will commence at 9.00am and conclude at noon.

During the morning's activities, there are opportunities to make free arts and crafts, perhaps a special gift for Nan and Pop or challenge them to a game of ten pin bowling, giant Jenga or jumbo egg and spoon racing. There will also be free cuddly animal farm and $2 carnival rides for the kids while the adults can wander through the market stalls, taste mouth-watering waffles, crepes and other great food from Brisbane's best food trucks.
The Arana Hills SES will be cooking up a sizzle with their favourite Aussie Sausage Sizzle.
