On Saturday 9th November 2013 the glamorous Fernhill Estate is playing host to Sydney's only country race day celebration. This historic 1850 acre estate in Mulgoa, which was built in the early 18th century, is located less than 1 hour from Sydney CBD, and only 15 minutes from Penrith.

All are invited to attend this annual family friendly event, which will consist of live music performances, great food and free family-friendly activities.



The main attraction of the day will be the six-race program , including the day's feature race, the $25,000 Carlton Mid Cup. There will also be a live broadcast of the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival on a big screen. Tote and bookmaker facilities will be available for both Flemington and Randwick races.& #8232 ;



In addition to the excitement of the races, families can enjoy the alcohol-free Family Zone; here you can set down a picnic blanket and take in the stunning country surrounds, whilst the kids indulge in horse drawn cart rides, a jumping castle, petting farm, pony rides, games and other activities.



An international selection of gourmet fresh food will be available for purchase as well. There will be many sweet and savoury delights to choose from; some of the highlights include the Aussie Grill, serving up gourmet burgers and steak sandwiches, the Brazilian BBQ, providing spiced meats, accompanied with delightful condiments and the Mexican Street Food stall offering all the favourites - quesadillas, tacos, empanadas and more. To complete your lunch, you can head to the Carlton Mid Beer Garden and enjoy a cold one or opt for coffee and gelato.



Fashion is also showcased with the Fernhill Fashion Spotting Competition. The best-dressed ladies and gentlemen will be awarded with a $200 gift voucher, courtesy of Bendon and the People's Choice winner will receive an additional prize - two corporate tickets to Bon Jovi at ANZ Stadium in December.

Plus Aussie rock legend, James Reyne, will be performing a special concert after the last race!
