After the success of the first fermented foods class at Annerley Community Hub, they are now hosting a second session. Learn to make your own sourdough starter, yoghurt and sauerkraut in this informative and relaxed class at Annerley Community Hub.

Fermentation is a way of preserving foods while helping boost the health and wellbeing of your gut bacteria and in turn your whole health. Sourdough bread, Greek yoghurt and sauerkraut are beneficial fermented foods that can be made at home, relatively quickly, cheaply and with delicious results.

For many food tolerances are a daily struggle, by fermenting foods it starts a process that helps the digestion of normally difficult foods. Also by making your own food you not only know what exactly is in it but you can also control the taste, sugar levels and do away with preservatives.

Annerley Community Hub is run by non-profit group, Community Plus and this class will help to raise funds for the centre so they can continue to support those who need it in the community.
