Situated right beside the oh-so-famous Fergburger on Shotover Street, Fergbaker has been equally successful as Fergburger in creating divine pastries and pies. Being part of the Ferg family, you can sit in either side of the shops, as the seating is quite limited especially during peak meal hours.

The bakery offers plenty of freshly-baked bread rolls, sandwiches, pies and pastries that one will have a hard time choosing what to eat. The price for the pies is very reasonable, ranging between $5 to $7. We stopped by the bakery for a quick snack at tea time – bought a pork-belly pie (to die for) and a ferg pie. The pastry was so fluffy and crispy; and the filling was so flavourful and succulent that one would ask for more!

Too bad they ran out of the prawn and chorizo pie, which sounds really interesting. I'm definitely going back there again!
