I'm a grandmother, a retired teacher, an avid reader who loves historical re-enactment, English Country Dance, writing and Op Shopping. My business www.StepIntoHistory.com.au is designed to help children experience history through school incursions.
Magic is on show
Mark this date in your diary if you live in the Enoggera area. Saturday 8th March 2014 from 1pm to 6pm.
Fabulous Fun Day.
As well as all the usual stalls - homemade cakes, jams, face painting, BBQ, fairy floss, coffee, garden bar and four amazing rides, you can also meet Australian native animals.
Love magic? You will be amazed by this magic show. I can't recall the last time I saw anyone, other than my grandson, do magic tricks. I wonder if he'd like to come with me and add to his repertoire.
School fetes are the perfect venue for plants and home baked goodies at very reasonable prices. I love to hang about till the end when people don't want to pack up all the left overs. Then the bargains really begin. Of course you can't leave everything till the last minute because the really great stuff will already be gone.
Fetes are also the main fundraiser fro most schools. Parents teachers and children put a lot of time and effort into making their fetes enjoyable, so please if you live locally come and support your local school.
Enoggera State School Family Fun Day is supported by the Lord Mayor's Suburban Initiative Fund.
