Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!
Create harmony in your 'space'
A place for everything and everything in its place...
By Pamela Woods - Own work, CC0
Feng Shui literally means 'wind and water' in the Chinese language referring to the ancient Chinese system of balancing the 'chi' (positive energy present everywhere) patterns of our natural environment. It is the practice of living in a state of balance with all the five elements i.e. fire, earth, metal, water and wood in order to benefit from their energies so as to enhance one's good fortune from all the directions of the compass.
Growing up I was always told "a cluttered space means a cluttered mind" - once one's surroundings are clear and tidy, one automatically can think better! Though I have found as I have got older, the need to have everything neat and tidy has improved dramatically!
With Spring just around the corner, what better time to 'de-clutter, fix the door squeaks, clean the windows, place plants in empty spaces, put out that new Feng Shui Fountain and transform the energy in your life!
Another innovative idea by Sunshine Coast Regional Council, where you can join Debra McDonald from Landsborough Health and Wellness Clinic for great ideas on how to create harmony in your space. Debra will show you the way to:-
Making subtle changes to decor and furniture which can help boost your mood and energy;
Learn about the nine life areas of the Feng Shui Bagua;
Pick up some excellent ideas on how to improve the look and feel of your home or work environment.
As these are free events, bookings are absolutely essential but can be done on-line!
And most importantly, remember to SMILE! Your attendance at events supported by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings.
