Fellmonger Park is named for the fellmongeries or wool washers that operated on Hilliard Creek in the nineteenth century.
There is however nothing old fashioned about this park. It definitely caters for modern activities. As well as a basketball court and a well equiped playground, there is a flying fox and fitness equipment.
The most unusual aspect of this park its the Bicycle Skills Circuit. The circuit, which has eight obstacles, is designed to improve off-road skils such as balance, braking and bike handling. It is recommended for riders over the age of eight.
Toilets and shaded picnic tables make this a practical park. It is also a picturesque park with large established trees and a beautiful creek. Take food along as you'll be bound to see some ducks. Remember though bread is not good for the ducks or the creek. Take corn, peas or lettuce.
