Feast is Adelaide's iconic lesbian and gay festival, celebrating its 16th birthday this year with a bigger than ever line-up which attracts visitors to Adelaide in droves.
The official program launch at Tuxedo Cat attended by a suite of celebrities unveiled the highlights of this year's event, with many of the acts taking place around the Feast Hub which takes over Light Square for the duration.
Feast kicks of around 5.30pm on November 10 with the annual Pride March from Victoria Square to the Feast Hub, where the Opening Party will be just kicking off (entry $10). It's a huge event with live music, show previews, and a series of national performers putting on the biggest show yet.
From then on, there will be shows to suit almost every taste over the next two weeks - film, cabaret, live music, theatre, comedy, karaoke, sports, and parties. If you can't find something in that lot it may be time to go back to your retirement home. Download or pick up a copy of the Program to explore the huge range of offerings.
Perhaps the most popular event in the calendar is the Party in the Park from 10am on November 25, where anything can happen (and often does).
For those who are still standing, the Picnic After Party from 5pm will throb with top DJ's from around the country and overseas. It's free if you went to Picnic in the Park, or $5 otherwise.
One of the best things about Feast is that the acts are all affordable, with many being free or under $20. The few remaining shows are all priced under $50 which makes it easy to pick and choose a selection of those that suit your interests. And you can download a Feast app for either Android or iPhone to make it all even easier and have access to all the details while you're out and about.
As ANZ is now a major Feast sponsor, their customers are among a group of others who are eligible for further discounts on ticket prices. See the Feast Program for more details.
