Everyone likes to read – whether it's a short story, a long story, or a biography (my personal favourite), there's something for everyone. But one thing that sets each person apart is where they like to read. As an avid reader myself, I have observed many people's favourite reading spots, and have managed to whittle the list down to the three most common.
One of the most peaceful places to read a book is in a park, preferably a close one. My local park has not a few visitors and quite a number of regular walkers, but generally is still a good place to read a book. Perhaps the natural environment and the open spaces is one of the plus points to making this spot a good one to read a book.
Of course, more and more often we find ourselves not having enough quiet time to read a book; and so we find ourselves reading on the way to work or school. I try to limit myself reading in the bus, but once or twice I have read something while on the way to the city. Nowadays, technology has had a part to play in making book reading a whole lot easier (kudos to Kindle).
One of the ways to read a book that I find the most peculiar is one the run. It's amazing when you see people actually weaving in and out of crowds with their noses buried in a book and still managing to keep track of themselves and their surroundings.
And what's yours? What would you consider your favourite reading spot? We would like to hear your opinion.
