Do you ever binge watch cooking shows?
It's no secret in our home that I love a cooking show. In fact, with everything going on right now,m it has become a great escape. Here are 4 of my absolute favourite shows.
1. The Cook and The Chef
I just love Maggie Beer and I love the combination and banter she has with Chef Simon Bryant. Maggie is the Cook and Simon the Chef and they work with different ingredients to produce their own take and style of meals. Filmed in Maggie's kitchen in the Barossa Valley, the two foodies bond over great food and produce. Catch on SBS or stream from their digital channel SBS On Demand.

2. Rick Stein Road to Mexico
Rick is a great chef who takes many food adventures. I have the Road to Mexico book, so after getting immersed in the program, culture and food, I can pull out my book and look up the recipe. Cooking is so much more than the food on the plate. It is traditions, generations of family and culture. Rick Stein brings these to his show which you will find on ABC iview.
OK, yes, is it cooking and drama. I do get that sometimes the drama detracts from the show. MKR, however, allows home cooks to bring their recipes and the food they serve at home to an instant restaurant. This season was great with the Favs (old winners and competitors) competing with the Fans. If you missed this season, you can still pick it up on 7 Plus.
On the Food Network, you can watch Ina serving up great food and tips for entertaining. She is very organised and relaxed and clearly uses food to share her love. She often makes special meals for her husband, who is seen to really appreciate what's on his plate. Grab an episode HERE
