Interactive themed dinners and events have become all the rage in recent times, from wizards bars to Alice in Wonderland tea parties. However, a veteran of the genre makes its triumphant return once again to demonstrate how it's officially done. Faulty Towers The Dining Experience magically transforms dinner guests into travellers staying at the famous and yet calamitous seaside hotel run by the incredibly quirky Basil Fawlty. Based on the hilarious hit television show, guests will get to enjoy an incredibly interactive experience involving key characters from the show and all the infamous antics that take place while being at the mercy of their hospitality.

All the favourite characters from the show are within arms reach, including Basil himself, his wife Sybil and of course the master of misinterpretation Manuel. As soon as guests enter the door they are welcomed by the attentive Sybil Fawlty, with Spanish waiter Manuel subsequently escorting guests to their seats in the way that only he can. This sets the stage for the evening's events, as the cast accumulates plenty of call back humour from guests that they continuously draw upon throughout the night.

Dinner guests can look forward to plenty of creative comedy improvisation in addition to an authentic reinterpretation of some of the most memorable and funny moments from the British TV series. Get ready for hijinks involving premature fire drills, lost items in your freshly served soup, not to mention a unique tribute to the Germans on table 11 that only the irreverent Basil Fawlty can provide.

The 2021 season of Faulty Towers Dining Experience took place at the picturesque Sydney Opera House in March 2021. While the Opera House may not be the most idealistic setting to replicate the authentic Fawlty Towers aesthetic, the location served as a clever callback to one of the episodes of the show. The water views from the dining room also made for wonderful scenery in between bites of dinner and many laugh out loud moments as the audience witness Basil and Manuel's unique brand of hospitality.
