It's time to celebrate Father's Day weekend in style

The Horsepower Crew and South Australia's motoring enthusiast community are meeting together for another car park spectacular on Saturday evening, 2nd September, from 6.30pm at Westfield Marion, to showcase unique and modified vehicles in honour of the father figures in our lives who have enthused us and following generations with a passion for all things 'horsepower.' Anyone else remember polishing all the chrome on the grandparent's family vehicle every week with the promise of an ice cream - or is that just me?

With a membership of over 3,000 avid vehicle owners, the Horsepower Crew aim to have a positive impact on community and charity alike by fostering support for local South Australian business and generously donating part proceeds to charity. This Father's Day weekend, proceeds from the car show competitions will be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation Aussie Muscle Car Run.

Maybe Dad, an uncle or family friend has some 'horsepower' in the shed that you'd be proud to polish and that you're itching to get out. If so, then bring them on down to Horsepower Crews', Generations of Horsepower, to cruise and make new memories together.

You can always foster a new generation of horsepower enthusiasts by encouraging your sons and daughters to bring along their favourite Matchbox toy. My son has amassed a collection of over 200 Matchbox 'favourites' to bring - may need to be culled slightly - I'm just saying quietly.

You'll have plenty to keep the whole family entertained and well fed as the generations of horsepower supporters meet at this family friendly festival. There will be automotive & non-automotive retailers (hint:Father's Day gifts), along with raffle draws throughout the evening, culminating in the ever popular 'car cruise' at the end of the event.
