Here is a list of some ideas on how to celebrate Father's Day 2016 on Sunday 4th September. Bookings are essential for all events.

The Regatta Hotel is hosting an early whisky blend session on Thursday 1st September at 6:30pm. The one-of-a-kind evening is being held in The Walrus Club where you can create your own whisky blend, sample some of the best whiskies in the world and enjoy gourmet canapes. $55 for person.

The Bavarian Bier Café has a special offer on with a traditional German meal starting with a pretzel, then a whole pork knuckle and a half-litre stein of beer for $50. Open from 11am on Sunday.

#item_42023 ">The Breakfast Creek Hotel is hosting a Ties & Tolls themed day. There will be a steak special called 'The Boss' which is a rib-fillet with a rack of BCH in-house smoked lamb ribs for only $40. All the staff will be dressed in ties and trades outfits in honour of their dad's hard work. There will be a power tool pack competition.

The Greek Club are serving up a delicious and authentic lunch on their terrace overlooking the Brisbane city skyline and accompanied by music from their live two piece band.

The Marriot Brisbane is having a seafood lunch buffet at the Motion Bar and Grill from 12:30am to 3:30pm. The price is $69 for adults.

The Regatta Hotel is also holding a Boatshed Exclusive of 1000 dry aged rump cap (Florentine style) and paired with two pots of Fat Yak Pale Ale. Open from 10am for a full menu and special brunch menu designed by Executive Chef, Anthony Fullerton.

Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton are serving up a set menu breakfast and lunch designed by Executive Chef Andrew Mirosch from Restaurant Lurleen.

Sake Restaurant and Bar have set menus and Blushing Geisha craft beer. Open from 12noon till 9pm.

Prepare a picnic basket and head to one of the many great parks around Brisbane .

Alternatively stay at home and have a barbeque with cold salads but ban Dad from doing the cooking.
