The Treasury Casino and Hotel's Fat Noodle Restaurant celebrates two years of modern Asian dining this December. Experience the very best of authentic Asian cuisine on Wednesday 10 December at the Queen Street entrance of The Treasury Casino and Hotel. The Fat Noodle Restaurant's celebration will treat guests to a delicious mix of award winning Asian food served up from typical Asian street market stands.
There will be not one, but two, separate celebrations. The first starts at 12.00 midday and goes until 2.00pm during which time you will have the opportunity to purchase signature dishes created by Award Winning Celebrity Chef and Head Chef of Fat Noodle, Luke Nguyen from just $5.
Then starting again at 5.00pm and going on until 8.00pm there will be a dynamic mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysian and Thai delights at stalls in and around the Fat Noodle restaurant. During this later celebration $25 vouchers will be available for purchase, giving you the option to sample five different meals from the stalls.
At the evening celebration you might get the opportunity to ask for some cooking tips from Luke Nguyen personally, as he is set to join in on the celebrations. He is eager to join in as he considers it hugely rewarding to celebrate Fat Noodle's second birthday in Brisbane knowing it has become one of the favourite restaurants in the inner city dining precinct.
Nguyen explains, "The spirit of Fat Noodle is warm and inviting; we love making our guests feel comfortable and able to try Vietnamese food like they've not seen it before, so to celebrate the two-year mark of success is hugely exciting."
Nguyen is best known as the host of the television series
'Luke Nguyen's Vietnam' and
'Luke Nguyen's France'. He is the owner of Sydney's award-winning Red Lantern restaurant and the original Fat Noodle restaurant at The Star casino in Sydney.
Since opening Fat Noodle in Brisbane Nguyen has reinterpreted traditional Asian influences using fresh Australian produce. He has applied this approach to Fat Noodle's fusion of Vietnamese, Chinese, Malay and Thai to produce signature dishes including thinly sliced Angus sirloin and brisket, bean sprouts, fresh Thai basil, fresh chilli and rice noodles wowing diners seven days and nights a week.
In addition to the street market stalls on Wednesday 10 December, the Fat Noodle restaurant revives the celebrations from Friday, 12 December and continuing on every evening until Wednesday, 31 December with a special menu featuring caramelised pork belly with quail eggs and a dessert of Pandan Crème Brûlée for just $17.
