Fashion meets Fiction
Fashion meets Fiction

The Burrinja Cultural Centre is putting on a fantastic exhibition of costumes from The Darnell Collection
Author and owner of the collection, Charlotte Smith, has drawn upon well-known fictional characters for inspiration for the exhibition. Using garments from her extensive collection, Charlotte's mannequins come alive as Scarlett O'Hara, Holly Golightly, and Carrie Bradshaw to name just a few.

The collaboration between fashion and fiction came about after Charlotte was invited by Eastern Regional Librarie, to do a talk and promotion of her book 'Dreaming of Dior' last year.

The timing is perfect as this is The National Year of Reading in Australia. If you love fashion, fiction, design and history, this exhibition is a must see.

Fashion meets Fiction opens on Friday 9th November and runs until Sunday 17th February. Tickets are $15 each with concession and student discounts available.
