Set along Oracle Boulevard (between Gold Coast Highway and Old Burleigh Road), this free cute market allows you to enjoy an authentic farmers market experience within the heart of Broadbeach, just a few minutes from the beach.

Held on the second Sunday of every month, this small but perfectly formed farmers market offers fresh produce direct from the supplier such as artisan breads, gourmet meats, fruit and veg, cheeses, honey, flowers, spices, olives, cakes and more.

It has a variety of friendly stalls, about 30 in total, many of which offer a delicious range of international foods together with a handful of contemporary art, crafts, clothing and furniture stalls and there is even a massage station. Many of the food stalls offer free samples and have some great deals plus there are flyers and offers aplenty from the local cafes, bars, shops and restaurants.

It starts at 7am and runs till 1pm and has a steady stream of people throughout the day but the mornings are usually busier. The vibe is very relaxing as people wonder from stall to stall to see what's on offer, and in the background they have street performers such as people playing live music like the violin and acoustic guitar. All the staff on the stalls are very friendly and chatty and it creates a nice buzz in an already vibrant setting.

Stalls include Bare Nature Furniture, Benfatti Italian Fine Foods, Bow and Daisy Bakery, Naked Nuts Butter, Daybreak Apiaries Honey, Hungarian Bakers, Due Amici Pizza, Go Go Pain, My Indian Summer, Stack-A-Pots Vertical Gardens, Boobeedoo and many more.

It it still in the early stages as a farmers market but is going from strength to strength. The location is ideal because The Oracle is already established as dynamic food, fashion and art hub, which has many cafes, bars and restaurants. They all offer plenty of outdoor seating where you can soak up the sun, the atmosphere, and watch the world go by.

This isn't a large market and certainly you could be done after 30-45 minutes, that's what makes the location so great, you don't have to travel out of your way, you have everything that Broadbeach has to offer with the added dimension of this adorable market. If you haven't been to a farmers market before this is a gentle introduction and a great way to see what produce is available locally, and at reasonable prices.

This market isn't established enough yet to make a special trip to, but if you are on the gold coast and planning to visit Broadbeach or close by them I would definitely try to plan your visit for a Sunday when this is on. Treat it as a lovely addition to your plan rather that it being your plan, perhaps go for breakfast or lunch at one of the many restaurants and then wonder around the market before or after.

The Oracle is home to some amazing cafes such as Shingle Inn, No Name Lane and Max Brenner and offers a variety of different eateries such as Crust Pizza, Mecca Bah, Oh Sushi, Bavarian Bier Café and China Town Yum Cha so you are really spoilt for choice.

Oh there is ample parking too, underneath and alongside Oracle Boulevard, plus The Oasis Shopping centre (next to Oracle) offers free 3 hour parking in its multi-story carpark, so you will be sure to find somewhere to park.

I love pretty much any kind of market; food, craft, art or clothing, I don't really mind - I just enjoy wondering around all the different stalls and seeing what is on offer. I find that markets are quite relaxing and calming and I especially like the sense of community they bring and the platform they give to local businesses. Plus you can get some freebies and find a bargain.

Oh and I can highly recommend the Red Velvet mini cupcakes from The Bow and Daisy Bakery, very yummy.
