Fresh, fresh and more fresh! A market full of seasonal veges, fruit, beautiful flowers, baked delights from bread to brownies, organic meat and amazing sausages, condiments, candles and everything in between? Where else on a Sunday but the Farmers' Markets at the Gold Coast Turf Club.



It has become a regular amongst the locals and I must admit has become a place to catch up for a natter with a friend early Sunday morning. Who doesn't love the idea of grabbing a cuppa and sharing a bacon and egg burger amidst the buzz of beautiful music and people!

Being a farmers' market the food you buy is seasonal so you know it is fresh and dare I say delicious, creating an awareness of what is in season at different times of the year. Knowing what is best eaten at different times of the year really does help the environment with more locally grown vegetables and fruit produced rather than produce being flown or trucked in. Pretty much it is as real as it gets.


I do love the idea of "divide and conquer", that is dividing and splitting bags of fruit and veges with a friend, a perfect option when on a budget but still love to have an amazing array of fresh fruit and veg on hand at home.



Come along an support your local Farmers Markets. The Farmers' Market at the Gold Coast Turf Club is on every Sunday from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Plenty of car parking available.
