The Farmers Arms is an iconic pub and accommodation located on the outskirts as you drive into the township of Daylesford.
You feel and treated just like a local from the moment you step into the warm and cosy interior. Dark woody tones and candlelit tables set the tone for that perfect romantic dinner setting for two or grab the family and sit on a banquet table enjoy a meal with loved ones.
After having spent the day bathing at the Mineral Springs in Hepburn and walking around Lake Daylesford catching a glimpse of the sun setting on the calm water, we were in no hurry to head on home. So dinner at the Farmers Arms in East Street it was.
The pub restaurant is open 7 days a week from 12pm-11pm serving lunch from 12-3pm and dinner from 5:30-9pm. With food which is diverse, sustainable and generous servings. Drinks are craft, extensive and sophisticated.
I had been here before for drinks and read great reviews for dinner. Both my partner and I ordered the Pumpkin Gnocchi with burnt sage butter and shaved Parmesan cheese. The gnocchi was light and fluffy and melted with every bite.
This dish ended a perfect day trip to the Macedon Ranges and spa country! Until next time - ciao!
