Mythical Creatures or 50 Shades of Grey?
Bringing us to a world of fantasy, the Warrandyte Theatre Company host the Warrandyte Follies 2013 - Fantasy Follies. An amateur theatre company that is anything but amateur.
Once again, actors will roll out the laughs in this old fashioned vaudeville stage show. It is a truly fun night out, where you book a table or join with others, bring your grog and supper and snack away whilst laughing through a night of fun.
The Follies are held over March/April each year and coincide with the Warrandyte Festival (March). You can come just for the Follies or bring the family and spend the day at the Warrandyte Festival, then round the night off at the Follies. (*Note- sometimes the follies have some rather adult themes and may be more fun for you if you leave the kids at home).
In 2012, the follies team amazed us with "2012 - A Space Oddity". This year they bring us "Fantasy Follies" - who knows what topics this may cover; will it be fairies and elves or 50 Shades of Grey? You will have to come along and find out for yourself.
Whether they are teasing the residents of Templestowe or taking the mickey out of local businesses, they promise to entertain you for at least one evening.
The Follies have been an integral part of the Warrandyte Community for over 30 years. All material is written locally by members and friends of WTC (Warrandyte Theatre Company). Each show is presented in an informal cabaret-style, sharing with audience members the chance to eat, drink and be merry whilst being entertained in Warrandyte's unique style.
Click here to read all about how you may join in if you are inspired to write, act or help out.
You can come alone or with a bunch of friends, book a seat on your own or fill a table (10), I promise you will have a fun night. Maybe you will come along on the same night I am there - remember to say hi!
A great community night out at the Warrandyte Theatre Company Hall
