Fifteen years ago, a film version of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox starring George Clooney and Meryl Streep entered the world. It’s another fantastic film event that the Sydney Opera House is featuring over the next few months, and this one is perfect for families.

Come along at 11 am on the first of December to see this fantastic 2009 film from Wes Anderson for all ages. This is the funny story of a fox who is very well-dressed as well as clever, quick and nimble – and, he is also a chicken thief, who has decided to become a newspaper reporter. Now, Mr Fox has settled down with his family in a new foxhole. But – it’s near the three poultry farms owned by the three vicious farmers called Boggis, Bunce and Bean. Poor Mr Fox simply can’t resist – and so, he galls into his old ways in this stop-motion animation with brilliant performances from George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, Michael Gambon, and Bill Murray.
