The festival kicks off with one of the most highly anticipated films of 2022,
The Northman, an action-filled Viking epic that features an all-star cast that includes Alexander Skarsgård, our very own Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe. It's an epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father's murder. This is going to be an opening night with a difference in that the screening takes place at midnight! Tickets will include drinks and entertainment via a DJ performance starting at 11pm.
Closing the festival is
New York Ninja. This film was literally a long time coming. It was originally shot in 1984 but did not get finished until 2021! The film chronicles the rise of John, a TV news sound technician turned vigilante. Abandoned during production by director and star John Liu, only the unedited camera negative remained. After being painstakingly reconstructed and re-voiced in 2021, it finally screens in all of its bombastic insanity, giving audiences access to an almost-lost treasure.
British award-winning comedy
The Full Monty makes a comeback to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a screening. Audiences are invited to embrace the spirit of the film and strip bare in the cinema, for a cinematic experience that won't soon be forgotten. Be sure to go through the program thoroughly for other gems that include films about underground culture, cult films that were banned, and more. Be sure to stay in touch via
