Last Friday my fiancé and I went out for lunch. A burger, as you'd expect from that title. We walked down Rundle Street, which was crowded with people and then turned right at the rather neglected-looking Synagogue Place. Sceptically, I wondered just how good this place was going to be if it was hidden down a side-street. As it turns out, is a fantastic place to have lunch. Judging by the fact that we were hard-pressed to find a table, quite a lot of other people think so too.

Only having opened just over a month ago, this place is bustling. Worry not though, they also do take-away if you your lunch break is just too short. The menu is substantial, with beef and chicken burgers, steak sandwiches, veggie burgers and chips. The owners clearly care about food, with the buns baked fresh daily and the patties sourced locally. The eggs are free-range and the sauces which you can dip your chips into are made on-site. These include BBQ and tomato relish, herby mayonnaise and smoked chilli mayonnaise. I can personally vouch for the BBQ relish, it was excellent.

The decor seems to be that of a 1950's style diner, with a focus on re-using products. Inside, tungsten lights overhang wooden tables, while outside shipping crates have been used to create dining spaces. Inside these hangs a crowded assortment of artwork. The table we sat at, was in fact a door.

Upon ordering, you are given a trophy as your table number, which makes you feel really special until you realise everyone else has one too. You get over that pretty quickly though, when you realise just how much care has been put into making this burger in front of you.
