Walking is great exercise and available to anyone even if you are not a gym enthusiast. Walking gets you out of the house and into the fresh air that nature oozes into the environment, plus along the way you have the opportunity to see so much more than from the confines of your lounge room.

The Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre is hosting a two kilometre walk on Saturday 6th February 2021 at Billai Dhagun Track, which winds through different vegetation, Eucalypt forest, mangroves and saltmarsh. This walk will have a guide who will be sharing knowledge of the area and the highlighted points, plants identification and plenty more along the way.

The walk is designed for all levels of abilities, although all adults, children and infants must be booked in advance to be a participant of this event. If you have booked and then not able to make it on the day, please also cancel through Eventbrite as others who are on a waitlist may take advantage of your spot.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and you are asked to wear suitable walking shoes, wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-smart clothing and bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent on the day. There are no food outlets at this event, so you may wish to also bring a small snack with you.

Meeting point will be at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre and the event is FREE and commences at 9.30am through to 11.00am. If the event is cancelled, all participants will be notified.
