What better to way to enjoy a winter's day than to enjoy a family picnic under the fig trees in Strickland Terrace Park.
There will be games and activities for children on the green so even if the weather is unsuitable for kite flying you will still have fun.
Bring a rug and a picnic lunch. Of course you really should make your own kite at home but you can buy one for a gold coin donation. Google "Kites' and you will find a myriad of ideas and instructables.
