Lights by DreamWorks - The Experience is a new take on the traditional Chinese lantern festivals you are no doubt familiar with. This exhibitions sees some 100 DreamWorks' movie characters, bought to life in a way you've never seen before; in illuminating lantern form.
See the characters you know and love from the animated movies Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Madagascar, displayed under the Big Top at Rosebud Foreshore.
The exhibition heads to Rosebud thanks to the Andrews Labor Government which is supporting the event through the $20 million Regional Events Fund, which funds the biggest events in regional Victoria.
"The Lights by DreamWorks – the Experience is an event for the whole family. We can't wait to bring this spectacular event to Victoria," said Lights by DreamWorks, Event Director, Keith Brown
Lights by DreamWorks – The Experience is a walk through experience, offering interactive fun for all ages over a 30 day period. As well as the 100 or so lanterns to marvel over, there will be an array of scenographic pieces, LED furnishings, themed technology, learning zones, an immersive cinema experience and an animatronic dragon to enjoy.
The exciting exhibition is expected to attract 150,000 visitors from far and wide between the opening dates of 25 March and 30 April, 2017.
"It's very exciting to be able to bring our wonderful lantern experience to Australia for the very first time. We're looking forward to seeing eyes young and old light up when they experience our large scale illuminated characters for the very first time in such a beautiful part of Victoria," said DreamWorks Consumer Products Country Director Jo Pascoe.
