Family Parks are holding their fourth
Annual Members Rally this year at
Spear Creek Caravan Park , just 25km south-east of Port Augusta. This annual event held from 6th to 11th May 2018 is a great way to meet new people, catch up with old and enjoy being in the company of others who love the benefits of Family Parks .
Don't worry if you're not a member though, there is still time to
join so you can attend the rally and begin your new adventures. Becoming a member costs just $40 for 2 years and entitles you to 10% off your stay at all
Family Parks in Australia and New Zealand (up to $20 on sites and $40 on cabins), 3rd Night Free Voucher and loads of
national and local discounts from restaurants, cafes, entertainment, attractions and car hire.
You can choose how many nights you want to stay for during the rally and the itinerary will include activities such as:
Arid Lands Botanic Garden guided tour
Wadlata Outback Centre guided tour
Morning tea with local quandong jam
A damper cooking demonstration
A self-drive 4WD tour
Evening entertainment from a local musician
There are also the usual areas to explore at the pet-friendly Spear Creek Caravan Park, with it being situated on a 7000ha sheep station among 400-year-old river red gums. Take a leisurely walk to see the 300 million-year-old stromatolites, or enjoy the vast amount of wildlife in the area with 3 different species of kangaroos, and over 85 species of birds including the wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons.
Haven't got your caravan and camper all set up and ready to go? No worries, the park also offers self-contained bungalows, motel units and bunk style rooms as alternatives so you can still enjoy the rally.
