Best Family Holidays Australia is offering a fantastic 'Uluru Family Outback Holiday' experience these September school holidays.

Over 10 jam-packed days, you and your family will visit Uluru, Alice Springs and Coober Pedy and learn about the culture, see plenty of wildlife, explore the red desert and its wonders, search for opal in the fields, sleep under a star filled sky, enjoy delicious meals and view stunning landscapes!

Departing Adelaide on Monday 21st September, this exciting adventure begins in Mount Remarkable National Park and Mambray Creek, where you and your family will be invited to explore the cultural heritage of the area. Then as the sun sets, families will set up camp and sleep under a million stars!

Come sunrise on Tuesday 22nd September, it's times to head to the opal mining capital of the world, Coober Pedy. Here, you and your kids can visit underground dwellings and opal mines and even 'noodle' for opals. To complete the day, everyone will sleep underground, just like the locals do.

On Wednesday 23rd September, the adventure continues with a day trip to the largest single rock on our planet - Uluru. Discover Mount Connor and the red sand hills outside Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park as well. Then at Yulara, families will set up camp for the next three nights.

On Thursday 24th September, families will head out to Kata Tjuta for a sunrise breakfast and an amazing walk through the "Valley of the Winds" at Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). The day will be completed with a spot of souvenir shopping and games around the camp.

Friday 25th September begins at Uluru Culture Centre, where families will learn about the traditional owners of this sacred place. Then it's time to discover the many different views of Uluru with a walk around the base. There will also be opportunities for a helicopter ride and camel ride if desired.

On Saturday 26th September, families will head to Alice Springs and will spend two nights in a hostel.

Sunday 27th September is a free day for families to plan and enjoy; check out the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Reptile Farm, the Desert Park and Art Galleries, or eat a camel burger, go souvenir shopping or swim in the pool!

On Monday 28th September, families will spend another night underground in Coober Pedy and dine at the best Pizza Bar in Outback Australia.

Tuesday 29th September will begin at Woomera Rocket Range, followed by a visit to the beachside town of Port Germein. The final night will be spent at this beautiful seafront location.

On Wednesday 30th September, families will arrive back in Adelaide by lunchtime.

Children of all ages will enjoy this trip and with everything planned and organised, parents will love it too! Pack you bags and take advantage of this special September school holiday package!
