May 15 is International Day of Families and in celebration, Ramsgate RSL and PCYC St George are having a free family fun day on Sunday May 19 from 10am to 2pm.

International Day of Families has been celebrated in May since the United Nations proclaimed this initiative in 1993. Raising awareness of social, economic and demographic issues, the family is celebrated and recognised as the basic unit of society. Many countries run programs and events on or around May 15 in recognition of the importance of families.



Bring the kids along to enjoy activities like rock climbing and bungee jumping. A show for the kids begins at 10.30, followed by music. There will be stalls, rides, face painting and lots more for everyone to enjoy.

Money raised will assist PCYC St George to continue their important community programs. Helping kids to be active with affordable sports, arts and science camps.

As a not for profit group, PCYC St George relies on community events such as this one. Come along and support this great local service.



Bring your friends and family along to Pemberton Reserve in Sans Souci, right next door to the Ramsgate RSL Club. The 947 bus takes you to Chuter Ave, right near the park. There is parking available along Chuter and Tonbridge Ave. There is also the Cook Foreshore Cycleway, connect from Alice St or Ramsgate Rd.
