Halloween decorations are proudly on display in shopping centres, children are chatting about costumes and lolly sales are about to skyrocket! Enjoy Halloween with your family, at one of the community events below.

A Night at the Museum - Halloween
26 October, 5-8pm, Queensland Museum
Corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Brisbane, Q 4101

Families will explore the Museum at night, brave the gruesome creepy crawlies, see spooky science and dance at the Halloween Disco.

Tasty food and drink will be available for purchase on the night.
Tickets $21 adults, $15 children (3-15 years) or $60 family (2 adults and 2 children).

Manly Harbour Village Halloween Street Party

27 October, 11am-9pm, Manly Harbour Village

The annual Manly Harbour Village Halloween Street Party will offer fun for all members of the family.

Browse through over 100 market stalls and enjoy amusement rides, on-water displays, live entertainment, Halloween competitions and a Street Parade.

The evening will culminate with a free Movie in the Park at 7pm and fireworks display at 9pm.

Halloween Family Fun

27 October, 10am-3pm, Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown

Kids aged 2 – 12 years* are invited to dress in Halloween costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating with centre retailers. Participants will receive a Monster Mash show bag, unlimited ride wristband, unlimited fairy floss and unlimited snow cones. $5 per person, registrations essential.

Celebrations will also include a Halloween costume competition, free face painting and crafts, witches magic den, Halloween photography and special appearances by Angry Birds and friends.

Fairfield's Halloween Family Fun Day
27 October, 10am-1pm, Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre

Children are invited to dress in costume and take part in the day's celebrations. Activities will include a Self-guided Halloween trick or treat tour (maps will be available from Australia Post), family portraits at the DIY photo studio and slime workshops with Street Science. Bookings not required.

Children will also have the opportunity to assist the annual Foodbank Food Drive by having their face painted for the donation of a can of food.

Halloween Haunted House 2018
27 October, 6-10pm, Indooroopilly Halloween Haunted House
Carinya Street, Indooroopilly, Q 4068

Visitors of all ages will enjoy seeing the Halloween displays, navigating the maze and trick or treating at the Indooroopilly Halloween Haunted House. Please note that wait times can be over 30 minutes.

Free entry, donations welcome.

Halloween Family Fun Day
28 October, 11:30am-2:30pm, Sunnybank Community and Sports Club

Families will enjoy a spooktacular dance party, animal farm, face painting and balloon twisting. There will also be prizes for best costumes.

Not a member? Not a problem, membership is only $5.

Hocus Pocus Halloween Festival 2018

Dress up and enjoy a family-friendly evening of trick or treating, music and stalls.

A pet parade will also be held for animals dressed in costume.

Trick or Treat Mini Display

Visitors will enjoy trick or treating at the Indooroopilly Halloween Haunted House. Limited Halloween displays will be available for viewing.

Monster Madness - Augmented Reality Fun
12-31 October, 9.00am - 6.00pm, Logan Central Plaza

Enjoy an augmented reality experience where Monsters magically come to life on your mobile phone. Download the app, follow clues and find 8 monsters throughout the centre.

Participants will receive a free gift upon completion (prizes are limited and only available while stocks last, 1 prize each time hunt is completed)

Trick or Treat
25 October, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30pm, Grand Plaza

Children are invited to dress in costume and enjoy a trick or treat adventure around the centre.

Trick or treaters will depart from the Community Lounge (near Kmart) and the tour will end at Target where they will be treated to a Casper the Friendly Ghost show (stage shows are at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm).

Halloween Spectacular

Celebrate Halloween at Kingston Park Raceway's fourth car show. See drift cars and burn out cars on track and enjoy a Zombie March, market stalls and food drink vans.

$15 per person or $30 Family (2A 3K), children under 5 years free of charge.

Trick or Treat

Children are invited to dress in scary costumes and enjoy trick or treating from participating stores. The first 50 kids will also be able to decorate their own treat bag!

Spooky Fair
31 October, 5:30-9pm, Beenleigh District Senior Citizens Centre

Hosted by Quota Junior Beenleigh, the Spooky Fair is a family-friendly alternative to trick or treating.

Visitors will enjoy a haunted maze, screening of the film "E.T." spooky sideshow alley, face painting and crafts.

There will also be cool prizes for the best spooky costume so be sure to dress to impress!

Tickets $10 each, pay at the door or online.

Community Halloween Party
31 October, 6:45-8:30pm, Springwood Kids Early Learning Centre

Springwood Kids ELC will be a hosting a Kids Off The Street Campaign for Halloween.

Members of the community will enjoy an evening of safe trick or treating fun, indoor disco, sausage sizzle and outdoor screening of the film "Hotel Transylvania."

Midnight Scream Skate Night

Children will enjoy a night of skating, games, prizes and spooky surprises. $25 entry, including skate hire.

Younger children can also attend the General Skate Session from 7-9:30pm for $12 plus $4 skate hire. Halloween costumes encouraged.

Pete's House Halloween Display

Families will enjoy an extensive outdoor Halloween display, including a cemetery, a resident's home.

Batty Halloween

Primary school aged children will celebrate all things batty, including a special furry visitor from the Australian Bat Clinic.

Beenleigh Markets Halloween BOOOnanza!

The inaugural Halloween Markets will feature costume parties, face painting, live music, spooky décor, gourmet eats and artisan stalls.

There will also be prizes for best Halloween attire.

FestEvil at the Fangtuary
26 October, 6-9pm, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Families will browse through market stalls and ride the ghost train through the sanctuary at night. There will be trick or treating for the children, face painting, fun activities and prizes for best dressed!

Entry to the Fangtuary is $15 per person or $12.50 for National Trust Members. Kids under four enter free (but must be ticketed).

Halloween Spooktacular at NightQuarter

Families of frightening creatures of the night are invited to eat, drink and be scary at NightQuarter. Enjoy a Spooktacular Trick or Treat Hunt, Zombie Fire Show, magic show, children's dance party and an array of desserts.

Trick or treat hunt is $5 per child. No bookings required, but arrive early as the number of participants are limited.

$3 adult entry, children under 12 years free.

Off The Streets

Hosted by LJ Hooker Orme au and My Ormeau, this event is part of the Off the Streets campaign.

Children will have the opportunity to trick or treat through the entire Ormeau Centre and enjoy disco dancing, a jumping castle or meet and greets with Elmo, Spongebob, Minion, Scooby Doo, Ninja Turtle and more!

Spooktacular Halloween Party

Halloween Haunt Ipswich 2018 Yard Haunt and Maze

Help raise funds for the Palliative Care Unit at the Ipswich hospital by visiting this Halloween yard haunt.

Suitable for all ages, the venue will feature a maze, pirates, music and lollies.

Halloween Trick or Treat

Children are invited to enjoy free trick or treating fun within the Centre. There will be prizes throughout the day for best Halloween costumes.
