The Princess Bride story is the classic tale of true love and adventure. A kindly grandfather sits down with his hard-to-impress grandson to read him the beloved fairy tale - a book, the grandfather promises, that has everything - fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, true love and miracles. Much to the grandson's enchantment, the adventures of Buttercup and Westley, the man she loves, comes to life before the boy's amazed eyes. The beautiful Buttercup, who is engaged to the awful Prince Humperdinck, is kidnapped and held against her will, in order to start a war. It is then up to Westley, her childhood friend (who has returned as the Dread Pirate Roberts) to save her. On the way, Westley meets a thief and his hired helpers; a skilled swordsman and a huge, super-strong giant, both of whom become Westley's companions on his quest to rescue his childhood sweetheart.
& #10037 ;The NeverEnding Story (Rated G)
Bastian is a young boy, who lives a miserable life being constantly tormented by school bullies. On one of these instances, Bastian manages to escape into a bookshop, where the elderly owner reveals an ancient storybook to Bastian with the warning that the book may be dangerous. Bastian decides to 'borrow' the book to read in the school attic and is drawn into the mythical land of Fantasia, a fantasy land threatened by 'The Nothing', a darkness that destroys everything it touches. The kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive, leading Bastian to wonder if Fantasia is real and might actually need him to survive.
