Looking for something to do? Then Family Fishing Show is your answer!
Held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April at Penrith Raceway, the Show will fill 50,000 square metres with all things to do with fishing. It's no wonder the Show has become one of the biggest shows devoted to fishing. Having said that, this year's Show will be catered to everyone. And when I say everyone, I mean absolutely everyone. So whether you are a novice fisher or an expert, under 12 or over 50, or even if you hate fishing but are just going along with your husband, there is something here for you. Here's is a small sample of what to expect.
Fishing fanatics will witness all sorts of fishing including rock, fly, spear, lure, and tournament fishing to name just a few. If you know it, then you'll see it. Plus, learn how to clean, store, eat and release a fish. There is so much here for you so get your questions ready for the experts at the Show.
Get educated and learn something new at the Education Precinct with rock stars of the fishing world. Whether you want to learn more about rigging, cleaning and filleting your fish or how to choose your equipment, the Education Precinct has you covered. Of course, there will be heaps more workshops and seminars available as well as a kids hands on area for the young finishing fans. This is a show where you don't leave your kids at home. The Kiddies Area is where you can leave the little ones for free for up to 1.5 hours so that Mums and Dads can enjoy the show. There will be a miniature big top tent and a professional daycare team on duty so rest assured your children will be in very good hands.
This Show is not only for the die-hard anglers. Ladies, if fishing bores you or even puts you to sleep, then fret no more. Because the Ladies Only Area will pamper you to the max. Have a delicious coffee, read a magazine or book, enjoy a massage, or even spoil yourself with a manicure. What's more, take advantage of the free wine tasting! It sounds just perfect doesn't it?
Fishing Legends Stage is where all the action is and probably will be where you spend the majority of your time.
