These July school holidays, the kids are invited to take over the new Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts, Monash University in Clayton!

Enjoy a jam-packed weekend of FREE interactive events, activities and workshops from the 5th to 7th July!

 
Sound of Drawing

Highlights of the exciting Family Fiesta program include:

  • Fiesta Book Nook - A relaxed reading zone for parents, carers and kids featuring top reads from Walker Books.

  • Maisy Mouse - Visit Maisy and share her books in the Fiesta Book Nook, where she will join Fiesta book readers to tell some of her best tales, such as Maisy Goes to a Show, Maisy Goes to a Wedding, Maisy's Day Out and Maisy's Farm.

  • Judy Horacek: Live Drawing - Judy Horacek invites you to find out Where is the Green Sheep? while watching her draw live onstage at the Alexander Theatre.

  • Sound of Drawing - Polyglot Theatre, an Australian leader in creating experimental and interactive theatre, presents Sound of Drawing, which promises to change the way children see, and hear, their art.

  • I See You Like This - Jessica Wilson's enchanting I See You Like This is a mobile photo studio in which children art direct a creative portrait directly onto their parent's face.

  • Egyptian Animal Mummies: Interactive Reading - With thrilling readings, music and live onstage illustrations, The Chaser's Andrew Hansen and author/illustrator Jessica Roberts present their funny and frightening adventure series Bab Sharkey and the Animal Mummies.

  • Elizabella and the Great Tuckshop Takeover: Live Drawing - Sometimes you've gotta bend the rules to straighten things out. Sisters Zoe and Georgia Norton Lodge are coming to the Alexander Theatre to show off their sibling skills in the second book of their hilarious Elizabella series.

  • The Young King by Helpmann Award-winning company Slingsby. Please note this is a ticketed event.
