The Family Fair returns to Rouse Hill House and Farm on Sunday 18 August 2019. Bring along the whole family for a jam-packed day of good old fashioned fun with farm animals, games and a host of family-friendly activities!

Held from 9am, this is a unique opportunity for you and your little ones to experience farm life. Come and feed the cows, ride a Shetland pony and get up close and personal with the gorgeous baby animals at Golden Ridge mobile animal farm.

You can also try your hand at a range of old-fashioned activities and games including kite flying, jumping sacks and vintage lawn sports.

Enjoy country and folk music performances by The Morrisons, sheep-shearing shows by Tobruk Sheep Station and roving performances including The Deep Sea Astronaut's native birds.

For some quiet time, relax at the pop-up library and enjoy storybook readings by the Blacktown City Libraries.

Get creative in a colourful paper art workshop led by Swedish-Australian illustrator and designer Elin Matilda and learn about the people who have called Rouse Hill House & Farm home.

Pack a picnic or enjoy a bite to eat from the family-friendly food stalls, including burgers from Nighthawk Diner, roast rolls from Waroo Lamb and pastizzis from Nana Clara's Maltese Kitchen, or grab a treat from Diego's Donuts and The Gelato Man.

Round the day off with a viewing of Rouse Hill House which is filled with an assortment of belongings and treasures that chronicles the changing fortunes of six generations of the Rouse family and visit the schoolhouse with mistress Mrs Fox to experience what lessons were taught in 1880.

So, gather the family for a day full of fun, hands-on activities and nostalgia at this iconic house and farm.

Admission is priced as follows: General $8, Family $25 and Members $6. Additional charges apply for pony rides.
