Snow-men, Snow-women, Snow-kids, Oh my
Do you love winter? Do you love the cold? Snow? How about mountains? Are you a mountain persons like I am?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then I might have the perfect destination for you.
Also a close by (a 5-10 minute drive) from Falls Creek is Rocky Valley Dam, where you can fish, swim, picnic, kayak, canoe and relax by the man-made dam/lake while enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains.
Falls Creek is a beginner/intermediate friendly ski resort, with a large part of the resort dedicated to this level of ski ability.
There is gear hire available if you need it and there are many lessons which run also, including (but not limited to) Renault Snow club (3-6 yrs), Junior Workshop (6-12 yrs), Teen Academy, Beginners learn to ski or board lessons, private adult ski/board lessons, cross country ski lessons and much more.
You can stay in one of the many accommodations in Falls Creek, with over 4,500 beds available for visitors to book and enjoy. You have the choice of staying on the mountain in one of the provided accommodations or off mountain in another accommodation. Mt beauty is one of the towns close by that may provide accommodation (and great views).
On the mountain first aid and emergency care are available. There is an on mountain medical center, staffed by doctors during winter/ski seasons. There is also the Ski patrol who are all over the mountain and can assist in an emergency.
Falls Creek has many helpful amenities, including a childcare centre for children from 12 weeks to 5 years), a supermarket, post office, community gym, day spa, physio and massage, 5-day yoga retreats and much more.
It really is a mini town on top of a mountain. It is amazing! Everything in Falls Creek is within walking distance (or skiing distance) so it is a nice way to get plenty of exercise, while exploring the resort and meeting new people.
If you get lost or need assistance, the Renault Snow Angels is always wandering around and willing to help. Highly visible in Falls Creek jackets and Snow Angels vests, they will be able to help you if you are lost, give you advice, point out where the next events are taking place, recommend activities and places to eat and much more.
So, when you are booking your next adventure, why not book in at Falls Creek Resort, where you can ski, snowboard, toboggan or build snowmen. All of the above is welcomed at Falls Creek and the many annual visitors love it there.
