is possibly one of Adelaide's best kept secrets and is just waiting for you and your family discover. Set in the beautiful Adelaide hills at Lobethal, has been entertaining children and families since it was built way back in 1973.

Here you will find the magical world of the fairytales you know and love, brought to life. There are 17 cottages, each one dedicated to a different fairytale.

You will find many old favourites such as Little Red Riding Hood,
The Three Little Pigs, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Hansel and Gretel and Alice in Wonderland - just to name a few.

I remember visiting many times as a child and it definitely made an impression on me, which is probably why I have such fond memories. It's a great fun day out for the whole family. They also have a specialised Gift Shop dedicated to fairies; with all sorts of fairy related merchandise.

Getting there is very easy; take the Highway one freeway and turn off at the Hahndorf exit, turn left at Verdun, then turn right at the Onkaparinga Valley Road. Continue through Balhannah, Oakbank and Woodside. Turn off at the Lobethal exit and as you enter Lobethal you will see a T Junction. Turn left here and is located about 500 metres on the right.

Entry for adults is $9.90, Children $6.60 and group bookings are also welcome. The Village is open from 10am until 5pm during school holidays, weekends and public holidays. Closed on Christmas Day.
